Cornwall Waste Clearance is committed to disposing of all waste in a responsible, legal and environmentally conscious manner. We are a licensed waste carrier, registered with the Environment Agency, and we take our environmental obligations seriously.
We are fully registered with the Environment Agency as a licensed waste carrier. This means you can be confident that every item we remove from your property is handled and disposed of in full compliance with UK waste regulations.
It is illegal to use an unlicensed waste carrier. Always ask to see proof of registration before hiring any clearance company.
Wherever possible, we sort and segregate waste so that materials can be recycled. We aim to divert as much as possible away from landfill by working with local recycling centres and approved waste transfer stations in Cornwall.
Items that are still in good usable condition — furniture, clothing, appliances and household goods — are offered to local charities and reuse organisations rather than being discarded. This reduces waste and benefits the local community.
Certain items require specialist disposal and cannot be handled as general waste. These include:
We will advise you at the point of quotation if any items require specialist disposal and whether additional charges apply.
We have a zero-tolerance policy on fly-tipping. All waste collected is transported to licensed disposal or transfer facilities. We never dump waste illegally, and we will not accept jobs where we suspect waste will be used to facilitate illegal dumping.
We continuously review our processes to reduce our environmental footprint — from the routes we plan to the facilities we use. We are committed to improving our recycling rates year on year.
